Description
The project was a completion project to include internal and external fit out of the single storey extension comprising of 4 no. general classrooms, science lab with science prep area, Design & Communication Graphics room, Art Room, Music Room, Construction Studies Room with prep room, staff & student toilets and office with large carpark area.
Included in the construction was work to the existing school building including all corridors reflooring. The internal fit out consisted of extensive ceiling & partitions with fire compartments and bulkheads to roof supporting beams. Internal Folding Wall, solid veneered joinery, Science room and classroom fitted furniture with marmoleum flooring throughout. Whiterock wall finishes in Toilet Areas The project consisted of extensive Mechanical and electrical input including integrated services to the existing school, new BMS Panel, new gas, ESB services, Ventilation and PV Panels.
Externally there was a large concrete and formwork retaining wall, along with gabion cages, staff tarmac carpark, footpaths, railing and Gates. To the entrance carpark was an access armed barrier and new footpath and railings on the main road. Extensive manholes and drainage including connecting to existing drainage system.
The works were carried out within the live school environment where all safety measures, traffic Management Plans and RAMS were enforced.
